Storage space is provided under the stair case.

The wall construction is only 15 cm thick to minimise plot usage and maximise internal floor area space.

First Floor
The first floor is 2.60 m high and consists of 31 m2 of constructed floor area. There are three bedrooms, with the possibility of adding a fourth above the porch. The average room size is 6.9 m2. (fig. 4) It is possible to accommodate a small attic within the pitched roof.(Fig. 3)

An extra bedroom may be build over the void.

Façades
The façades are designed in such a way as to eliminate the stigma of the traditional image of low cost housing. The semidetached houses with their alternating sloping roofs provide an engaging and responsive streetscape.

With the possibility for each household to add on extra rooms the character of the façade becomes ever more diverse.

The doors and windows are designed to follow a vertical and horizontal grid pattern in 40 cm modules. This provides a harmonious frontage to the building. (Fig. 5)

The contrast of texture and colour between the structural elements in timber and the walls painted white, gives the house a very strong modern image. This characteristic plays a very important role in encouraging the owners to fully accept the houses. (Fig. 9)
